Reviewing The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson

Hi Everyone and Welcome all my beautiful readers and followers!

A few days back I had finished reading the following book The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde off of my Kindle and as much as I thought it was a fairly good book I also thought it could’ve been a bit better.

In this harrowing tale of good and evil, the mild-mannered Dr. Jekyll develops a potion that unleashes his secret, inner persona—the loathsome, twisted Mr. Hyde.

My Thoughts

The book itself is not very long at all. Surprisingly it was a fairly quick read.
Even though it’s not a very long story I did find it quite interesting and kept me wanting to read more, especially when it came to the main character Dr. Jekyll.

I think what makes him the most prominent and captivating character is the fact that this man who comes from money and yet still wasn’t happy with the person for whom he is devious a solution that he hopes will help to make him better I suppose.

The formulae he comes up with for the most part does that, but obviously there is always the possibility that they’ll be some sort of consequence to trying to make yourself better by the means of some medication or concocted mixture without adjustments.

And so even though Dr. Jekyll created what he thought was a better part of himself Mr. Hyde, when in fact he’s only a much darker side of the real man.

I was hoping to see a little more action than what is already to this story, but it only seems to move along after certain events have taken place and doesn’t exactly go in the here and now if that makes sense.

I gave this book a 4 star. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you for reading, please leave a like, comment if you have read he book and what you thought and hope you will follow for more posts to come.
