November Empties Review

Hi Everyone and Welcome all my beautiful readers and followers!!

Now, I know there aren’t very many empties to talk about, but I wanted to make this short and easy for me to remember. LOL 😊

I did have a bunch of them last month, but never made it here to write about them and then I forgot what I wanted to say really about each item. So I ended up putting everything in the recycling bin and decided to just wait until November and see what I get and here it is!!

Cover | FX Blurring Primer & Wet n Wild Shimmer “Take on the Day” Eyeshadow primer

Cover|FX Blurring Primer

I originally received this in a BoxyCharm some months ago and I must say I really liked this blurring primer. In my opinion I think it did blur out any deficiency and cover or make smaller any pores that might have been a bit enlarged.

The formula was incredibly light an airy. It was almost like spreading a light fluffy whip cream all over my face…not really sure how else to explain that. LOL 😂

I would totally say that it did keep all my face makeup in place even through the warmer weather and this Summer was pretty warm.

On the Ulta site it retails for $38.00 for the 30 mL/1.0 FL oz

Would I purchase?

Truthfully, yes I would, but only if it was less expansive say maybe around the $6.00 – $10.00 range. I just can’t seem to justify spending that much unfortunately even at full size.

Wet n Wild Shimmer “Take on the Day” Eyeshadow Primer

This eye primer I originally won in a giveaway on Istagram which I think might have been about a year ago, it literally lasted me that long!!

I really liked the pinkish shade to this primer and the shimmer that went with it. Really gave my lids a nice coverage and excellent staying power for my eyeshadows. It also really did help in giving my eyeshadows more of a “POP”, clearly making them more vivid and vibrant.

The formula was in fact very smooth and easy to spread with my finger over my lids.

On the site it retails for various prices from $19.99 – $62.77 depending on the seller.

Would I purchase?

I actually had another one because I got two in the giveaway, but unfortunately when I opened it a very smelly oil started to leak out and then the product itself was very oily and smelly soooo I had to toss it out.

Unfortunately I don’t think I would purchase, at least not for those prices listed above from the Amazon site. Truthfully I don’t think they even sell this anymore as I think it has been replaced with a complete different eye primer altogether.

Benefit Gimme Brow Mascara & Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara

Benefit Gimme Brow Mascara

I’ve actually had this small sample for a bit of time now as I got it in one of my Ipsy bags before I decided to leave that subscription.

I really like the color of this brow mascara which I think was a taupe color. This little sample was also the reason why I got turned on to brow mascaras instead of pencils, even though I’ll still use a pencil every now and then.

It was just so easy to use and truthfully made my brows look more natural instead of almost painted on which I think looks much better on me.

On the Ulta site this item retails for $24.00 for 0.1 oz.

Would I purchase?

As much as I really did like this product, once again I just can’t justify the price even for the full size and so probably not. Plus I can find other brow mascaras that do the same amount of work as this one did for WAAAAY less.

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara

Last product on the list and once again this was a sample in one of my Ipsy subscription bags before I had unsubscribed to them and I’ve had this one for a bit of time as well.

I liked this mascara, but I can’t say that I loved it. That’s only because yes, it seem to have captured all my lashes and gave them a bit of a fuller look, but not too much. There is quite a few bristles on this mascara and very packed close together.

The formula seemed like most mascaras except I did find every so often that the bristles would pull on my lashes, but that could also be because it was starting to dry out too.

On the Ulta site this item retails for $23.00 for 0.24 oz.

Would I purchase?

Once again probably not. One the price and two even though on the site it says it “curls and separates every lash and creates a naturally defined & voluminous look”, it may have done some of that, but I guess I still can’t get over the fact that the bristles would literally pull on my lashes and that was even when I first got the product.

I guess you could say I’m more a fan of the IT Cosmetics Super Hero mascara which I truly have a makeup crush on and received in my latest October BoxyCharm which you can read here 😍

And that’s all I got for today!!

Thank you for reading, please leave a like, comment if you have tried any of these products and hope you will follow for more posts to come.
